When I first moved to Ireland, I was so intrigued to find that there is a real belief in old myths and legends in this country. Like places in Finland and Northern Spain, people still believe that fairies exist and that they are just out of reach. I saw this most when I visited fairy rings with my family, and saw how physical manifestations in the landscape can make you believe that they really do exist. I painted this beautiful little fairy hiding in a flower- you might miss her just passing by, but she is there watching you and getting up to mischief! 
 
This painting is perfect for a hall or living room, where your friends and family might not spot this little fairy on first glance!
